1. Chihuly Garden and Glass

Opened in  2012, the Chihuly Garden and Glass is a wonderful display of Dale Chihuly blown glass artwork. Truly astonishing in design and color. Alice could easily incorporate this into her Wonderland. A must see! Perfect for a couple on a romantic date.

2. Space Needle

The most prominent landmark of Seattle. Standing at 184.41 feet/56.2 meters tall the Space Needle gives an overview of the cities surroundings. On a clear day, one can see Mt. Rainier.

3. Fremont Troll

The famous troll that lives under the George Washington Memorial Bridge. It stands at 18 feet/5.5 meters and holds a VW Beetle with a California license plate. It is about a 5-10 minute drive from the city’s center depending on traffic.

4. Pike Place Market

See flying Salmon here! Workers toss fish over counters to each other to help serve customers. Fresh, organic food and plants spread their aromas throughout the market. Best part about it are the eateries found within.

5. The Seattle Gum Wall

One of the coolest things we saw on the trip. Traditionally, people placed coins on gum only outside of the Market Theatre wall as tips but ended up evolving into something much bigger. In 1999 it was officially labeled an “art piece” by the city and eventually spread throughout the ally. It now covers 50 feet of wall and as high as 20 feet, shocking us as to how big it actually was.
