Hawaii is a godsend for the health conscious individual. More and more local companies are sprouting up all across our island, Oahu, and big-name businesses, such as Trump hotel, for example, are supporting local farmers by incorporating organically grown fruits and vegetables. During our travels, we constantly ask google where the next healthiest destination to either shop for groceries or eat a romantic dinner can be found. Since Oahu is our stomping grounds and many of our readers our passing through, we collaborated a list of vegan, or close to it, eateries to visit!

1. Down To Earth

Down to Earth is our go-to for regular groceries or quick on the go meals from their food bar. On top of groceries, merchandise and standard things you’d find at Wal-mart can more than likely be found here. It’s dedicated more to organic/vegetarian food in general, and also caters to all types of houseware goods which are eco-friendly. It’s ridiculous we haven’t shared about our absolute favorite place in its own dedicated post! Down to Earth has improved our livelihoods greatly and even feel better.

Check out Down To Earth on Yelp.
Address: 98-129 Kaonohi St Aiea, HI 96701
Hours: Monday-Sunday 7:30am-10pm

2. Downbeat Diner & Lounge

Downbeat was our first full-vegan dining out experience, including dessert! This opened our eyes to where we could eat, what we could eat, and healthier alternatives to normal burgers. For example, I had no idea you could mix peanut paste, chia seeds, and a few other plant-based ingredients to make a very delicious full vegan-burger!

Check out Downbeat Diner & Lounge on Yelp.
Address: 42 N Hotel St Honolulu, HI 96817
Hours: Monday-Thursday 10am-12am, Friday and Saturday 10am-2:30am, Sunday 10am-11pm

3. Leahi Health

Our friend took us here for some smoothies – it was so fresh and delicious! While we haven’t tasted anything else on the menu, our friend loves their salads and acai bowl!

Check out Leahi Healthy on Yelp.
Address: 418 Kuulei Rd Kailua, HI 96734
Hours: Monday-Saturday 7am-3pm, Sunday 10am-3pm

4. Kahuku Farms

Instead of taking the typical trip to the shrimp truck, and although I highly recommend visiting one, maybe save it for later. Kahuku farms is a more spacious and peaceful vibe compared to what shrimp trucks provide. Also, Kahuku Farms offers organic and vegetarian/vegan dishes!

Check out Kahuku Farms on Yelp.

Our favorite spot en route for meetings in downtown. Just across Kaka’ako Park and in the newly developed plaza, makes for a great location and pitstop for all millennials. Please do try their pudding! Healthy. Tasty. Refreshing. This place is responsible for making us enjoy avocados more!

As I ignorantly asked multiple times because I couldn’t believe my ears, “everything on the menu is plant-based, vegan.” Chicken Katsu?! Vegan?! It’s as delicious as it sounds! Although a bit small and close together, the food more than makes up for it.

Check out Peace Café on Yelp.
Address: 2239 S King St Honolulu, HI 96826
Hours: Monday-Saturday 9am-8pm, Sunday 9am-3pm

8. The Beat Box Cafe

We’ve heard great things about this place. Not sure why we haven’t tried it yet! If you want your Mexican fix, head over to North Shore for some vegan burritos and tacos!
