How We Stay Active After a Work Day in Hawaii

We’ll be the first to admit how blessed we are to be doing what we do: We work in one of the world’s most beautiful places, Hawaii, and able to go to the beach or enjoy nature 365 days of the year. At worse, rain can damper outdoor plans, but most times, even that can be exhilarating! As professional photographers on the go for photoshoots or locked away in a room, writing or trading all day, we still like to reserve an activity unassociated with ‘work’. If we aren’t able to get out for the day, we at least make time for an activity on the weekend. All this ongoing busy-ness means we need to be at the top of our game and vitaminwater gives us essential vitamins and electrolytes for our 24/7 hustle!

How we stay active after a work day

Before heading out for any activity, we make sure our bags are loaded with a camera, towels, fresh slices of mango and of course some type of hydrating liquid. Lately, my source of a great tasting – rehydrating drink has been vitaminwater zero squeezed lemonade for my pre and post workout surf session! Drinking a bit before to get me rejuvenated and drinking it after for a recharge! Luckily, Target is en route to my favorite surf spot, which is where we stop by before heading to the beach if we are low on our supply or forget a bottle.

The East side of Oahu is known for its beautiful drive along the coast and during the dry season, it can be blistering; No better time to pick up a vitaminwater at Target before heading on this marvelous hike. On this day, vitaminwater was the perfect choice for staying hydrated. As we rounded the top of Makapuu Lighthouse Trail, we refueled and rehydrated with a beautiful view. Just about every hike in Hawaii is a rewarding view for all that exhaustive effort but topping it off with a refreshing, cold vitaminwater made it that more worthwhile!

As stated before, when we head out for any activity we do, we like to bring a list of standard things with vitaminwater being mandatory on that list. Mary and I were able to take a dip this past weekend at the beautiful Shark’s Cove on the North Shore of Oahu. After seeing a plethora of fish on the vibrant reef, we refreshed our bodies with a bottle of vitaminwater!
