Half way through our trip, we relocated to Tokyo and with that came a new hotel: Hotel Century Southern Tower. Yes, the same hotel line we stayed at while in Kyoto, except in Tokyo, everything is more grand and way cooler. For example, the lobby is located on the 19th floor.

Not as close as the previous hotel to Kyoto Station but our new place was just as convenient to the nearest (and busiest) train station in the world, Shinjuku Station. Our hotel is the building in the foreground, to the left, of the station sign.

Japan is great for travelers in making it easy to get around. It really is the most interconnected country in quite possibly the entire world. There is countless shopping to be done in Japan and Tokyo is the cream of the crop in respect to that feature. Right across our hotel (within a 5 minute walk) lies Tokyu Hands. Tokyu Hands is a huge department store filled with different types of retail merchants, furniture and eateries. (For Americans, think Costco or SamsClub but built upward and with a lot more merchandise)

Although this buffet breakfast did not beat the one we had at Kyoto Hotel, we still loved it.

We stayed in a twin room that had a view of the clock tower. That’s the NTT Docomo Yoyogi Building which is the 2nd tallest clock tower in the world and 4th highest building in Japan.

DSC08464We had an amazing view of Tokyo as the city lights turned on. While I would recommend to stay at Hotel Century Southern Tower, I would overall recommend to stay in a sky rise hotel over casting the city.
