After a 7hr and 10 minutes flight from Honolulu to Austin, Texas – we have arrived at Austin Marriott Downtown! There are many attractions that is within walking distance from the hotel but the most popular one is watching the bats at Congress Avenue Bridge! Fun fact: Austin hosts the largest urban bat colony in the world, estimated at 1.5 million bats!

The brand new, modern & clean fitness center provides the ideal setting to get your workout in while on the road, all while enjoying stunning views of the Austin skyline. The fitness center is open 24 Hours, 7 days a week AND the have dumbbells which is one of the best workout out items you can have.
NOTE* Although the website mentions that the pool is heated – we have confirmed that it is heated up to 60°F to keep the pool from freezing.

From top to bottom, Austin Marriott Downtown restaurants and bars are sure to be new local favorites serving hand-crafted food and drinks from breakfast to dinner time.
Zanzibar. Seven stories up and a world away. Zanzibar, a lush tropical rooftop terrace and pool oasis with stunning views of downtown, opened before the hotel in September 2020. It quickly became a popular spot among Austin locals and travelers alike, known as a socially distant outdoor rooftop where guests can escape the everyday worries with fancy cocktails. It features its own street-level elevator access on San Jacinto Boulevard to transport you seven stories up and a world away.
Zanzibar’s menu features modern tiki cocktails and island-inspired small plates. Specialty drinks are influenced with exotic spices grown right in Zanzibar, including cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and clove. Off the coast of Tanzania along the Indian Ocean, Zanzibar is known as ‘spice island’ and was once the largest exporter of spices in the world which is reflected in the drink and food menu at Austin’s Zanzibar.
Corinne Restaurant. Honest food + drink. Featuring one of the largest outdoor patios on West Cesar Chavez Street, Corinne is an honest and fresh neighborhood dining and cocktail spot serving classic, authentic regional classics and American comfort food with an emphasis on signature rotisserie dishes.
The Lobbyist. The Lobbyist is not only a clever nod to Austin’s history as a capital city, but it will also provide locals and hotel guests alike with a place to pause and reset or reach for a nightcap as they plan their next adventure. With a grand staircase entry, The Lobbyist is a two-story cocktail bar with a mezzanine level overlooking the entire hotel lobby with floor-to-ceiling windows to the outside.
Loaf + Vine. Loaf + Vine is a modern urban grocer with a broad selection of quick and freshly made meals, grab-and-go options, fresh bakery goods, and cold drinks and coffee beverages. Available daily is everything from fine wines and craft beer to artisanal local favorites.
