After filling ourselves up over the course of a two-hour Soleil Sunday Brunch at The Mulia, we weren’t sure if our bodies were capable of any more indulgences let alone walking anywhere. With a resort as big as The Mulia, there’s a valid reason why golf carts are available on call for any guests. With stuffed stomachs and happy hearts, a buggy (golf-cart) was waiting for us to take us to our next appointment: Mulia Spa!
Location: The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas, Nusa Dua
Upon arrival, we received a refreshing welcome drink, a warm welcome by the staff, and choices of oils for our treatment. Mary went with Lavender. Reid went with Lemon.
HYDROTONIC POOL (COLD & HOT SECTIONS)
After a tour of the premise and recommendations on how to experience it all, we jumped right in the Hydrotherapy pool – Where one side was heated (like a jacuzzi) and the opposing was “cool” (unheated – regular temperature).
WELLNESS AREA
With only an hour to spare before our main massage treatment, we ventured into the wellness room: separate Steam, Sauna, and Ice rooms. The order we ran through it was: Shower to rinse, steam to clear the mind with the mandala waterfall, ice room to cool off and push our mind, followed by the sauna to reopen our pores, and ending it with another regular temperature shower.
Feeling like we already had a treatment, we began the real treat: a 60 minute Balinese Massage in the couples room, where our stresses and physical sensations drifted away.
Traveling for a few weeks began to wear on ourselves both mentally and physically but after our full mind, body, and spirit renewal at the Mulia Spa, we were recharged and ready to take on what would eventually be a month long trip! The amenities Mulia Spa provides is next level and definitely has created a new standard for other spas we attend! Mahalo Nui Loa to the staff and Mulia Spa for having us. It gave us the rejuvenation we needed!
