Only after staying at Disney Aulani, did we realized they offer a plethora of activities for guests – making it easy for the entire family to manage a schedule during their vacation. Aulani releases a Daily ‘Iwa which is an itinerary filled with an action-packed guide of fun throughout the day. While you may not be able to join all of the activities in a day, we highly suggest making time for some.

10 ACTIVITIES YOU MUST EXPERIENCE AT DISNEY AULANI

1. DO THE MENEHUNE ADVENTURE TRAIL

Embark on Aulani’s complimentary high-tech scavenger hunt and see some magical surprises throughout the resort! Head over to the Pau Hana community center to check out a special tablet and start the adventure! Tip: It’s best to do it at night to see the light and fire special effects even better.

2. SIGN UP FOR OCEAN FITNESS

Aulani offers a few fitness activities for adults early in the morning. We were told that if you see Ocean Fitness on the daily ‘Iwa, sign up for it! Working out on a stand-up paddle-board seems hard but so much fun when you’re in the ocean! If you’re not into getting in the water in the morning, they offer multiple beach workouts throughout the day, try to do at least one and experience it!

3. FIRE PIT STORYTELLING

Join Uncle as he tells the story of Hawaiian legends and lore around the fire pit. It’s definitely an entertaining experience that the entire family will enjoy. Moana may or may not join in on the fun!

4. EVENING MEET & GREET HOUR WITH DISNEY FRIENDS

If you’re too busy during the day and haven’t seen any Disney characters yet during your stay don’t worry, there’s an activity set aside for that. An hour of fun with Disney friends where you can meet, take photos, and get autographs!

5. OHANA PAINTING PARTY

A great activity for the whole family where you paint a beautiful Aulani-inspired masterpiece. Aulani provides the supplies and the staff will be there to provide painting tips. The best part is that you’ll be able to take your very own painting home as a souvenir!

6. CHECK OUT THE TROPICAL FISH AT RAINBOW REEF

The only private lagoon on O’ahu where you can enjoy swimming with tropical fish! We enjoyed our snorkeling experience at the saltwater lagoon where we got to see the state fish (Humuhumunukunukuapua’a). Also, it’s very safe for little kids since there are no ocean currents to worry about. If jumping in isn’t your forte, (snorkeling is not free at Aulani), you’re able to see the thousands of tropical fish through a viewing window cave!

7. EXCURSIONS

Disney Aulani offers an excursion for guests almost daily. Excursions are activities done outside of the resort. Some excursions are free such as hiking at Manoa Valley Rainforest. This is a great way to explore other parts of the island without having to rent a car!

8. OHANA DISNEY MOVIE NIGHT

Find a spot at the Hālāwai Lawn for a family-friendly Disney movie under the stars!

9. GET COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS TO KA WA’A LUAU

Don’t miss the best luau on the island! Where you can taste some ono grinds (delicious food) and see Mickey and Minnie dancing the hula. It’s a great experience for the entire family. Tip: If you sign-up for a DVC (Disney Vacation Club) tour, you’ll get two complimentary tickets to the luau!

10. BORROW BOARD GAMES & DISNEY MOVIES

If you and the family decide to stay in one of the nights, you can borrow board games or Disney movies in the family room and take it to your room!
