We were so excited when we got invited for a preview of the brunch buffet at Lychee Restaurant. We’ve dined at Lychee for breakfast before and couldn’t wait to try the new brunch menu. After all, brunch is our favorite meal of the day!

Lychee Restaurant is located at Alohilani Resort in Waikiki. It’s elevated on the second floor with a view of the aquarium! The brunch buffet has everything you would expect and more. It’s available on Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM. Every weekend brunch is accompanied by live music and a 3-hour complimentary valet or self-parking.

There’s ample room at Lychee Restaurant. When we stayed at Alohilani, we’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get seated, and as a matter of fact, I don’t remember waiting once; It was a quick and straightforward walk in without hassle. You can make a reservation at the restaurant whether or not you’re a guest at the hotel which is quite possibly the best thing, allowing locals to stop by! The servers are very friendly and accommodating, and the service is incredibly fast.

Starting off brunch with a Mimosa! It wouldn’t be complete without it. I’ve had about 2-3 mimosas, the mix was just right and was very refreshing! If you don’t want to start off with a Mimosa, they also have coffee, tea, and soft drinks available.

Speaking of drinks – they had a boba station. Make-your-own Boba to be exact! The tapioca mix is in the cup, and all you have to do is choose your boba tea flavor. I had to go with Taro (purple) flavor, it was delicious!

BRUNCH BUFFET FOOD STATION

Bread Station – From white bread, wheat, flavored bread, regular and flavored bagels – Lychee got you covered! Pick your choice of bread, toast it, and choose from all kinds of jams on the side!

Fruit, Cheese and Vegetable Station – They have an array of cheese, fruits, fresh vegetables that you can pick and choose! Also, that Pitaya bowl was terrific! It was filled with yogurt and berries.

Omelette Station – One of my favorite things, when we go to a buffet place, is the omelet station. I love that they make it right in front of you with your choice of ingredients.

Sushi Station – Oh my goodness! Sushi?! Yes! I was very excited when I saw this area. I love that they have a mix of food from American food and Asian food. Unlimited sushi is the best!

Hot Line Station – The central area is the hot station. They had unlimited crab legs, prime rib roast, bone marrow, fried rice, and loco moco just to name a few. We can’t forget my favorite – the crab cakes benedict on taro roll – life-changing. ‘Yum’ is too simple of a word in describing such amazing tastes!

Pastries and Desserts Station – After all the food in the buffet, make sure to leave some room for dessert! There are THREE stations! If you have a sweet tooth, you belong here.

For only $35 per person (tax and tips included), you can enjoy a fantastic brunch buffet! As mentioned before, a 3-hour valet or self-parking is complimentary! This place is the perfect setting for brunch meetings, day dates, Sunday family gatherings, and so much more. We can’t wait to go back and dine at Lychee Restaurant!
