In Hawaii, Cheesecake Factory is known to be one of the busiest restaurants in Waikiki. Lines are always extending into the busy sidewalks. The location opened in December 2003 and has been the only one on the island until now. At last, instead of having to deal with the long drive and busy Waikiki crowds, there is a new location. Located on the west side of Oahu, the second restaurant is at Ka Makana Ali’i and is now accepting reservations and walk-ins! The whole family could not be more excited because it’s closer to home.

Similar to the layout of the Waikiki branch, the new Cheesecake Factory in Kapolei has an open-air dining as well as indoor dining. The restaurant is complete with a bar and bakery! One thing that they offer at Kapolei is a Curbside To-Go Parking in which you can call-in ahead, order, and wait in the parking lot for your order – staff will bring your take-out order straight to your car! Speaking of parking, there are ample parking spots at this location and, best of all,  it’s free!

DRINKS

Cheesecake Factory offers a great variety of drinks from creamy milkshakes, iced and frozen drinks, hot drinks + espresso, soft drinks + juices, beer + wine, and cocktails. Lots of choices for the adults and kids, leaving everyone well hydrated!

If you order coffee, they’ll bring cream and sugar on the side!

APPETIZERS

Our waitress, Keiki, brought over some warm bread and soft butter for starters. This is served to everyone that dines at Cheesecake Factory.

We ordered the Hot Spinach and Cheese Dip for the family to share as an appetizer. The chips were warm, and we love that the dish was served with salsa and sour cream!

Main Entrees

With over 250 signature dishes to choose from, it took awhile for us to decide what we’re going to get! For the main entrees, everything is handmade in-house with fresh ingredients from salad, pizza, burgers + sandwiches, pasta, steak, chops, fish + seafood, and specialty dishes!

Fresh Grilled Salmon served with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The creamy, lemon zesty sauce mixed very well with everything!

Famous Factory Meatloaf served with mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy, grilled onions, and corn succotash. This dish was so delicious and hearty. The mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy were delicious. They were very generous with the sauce, just the way I like it!

Pasta Carbonara served with spaghetti, smoked bacon, green peas, and garlic parmesan sauce. This dish is also available with chicken. I’m a pasta carbonara critique, and this dish made it as one of my favorites because it’s so creamy and flavorful!

Cheese Pizza which is Landon’s plate. Cheesecake Factory is very family friendly, especially with their menu in mind. They offer a lot of choices for the kids.

DESSERT

Alright, saving the best for last! Would cheesecake factory be its name without any cheesecake? I think not! With more than 50 legendary cheesecakes and other desserts to choose from, this too was a hard decision!

We went with the Celebration Cheesecake which has layers of Vanilla Cake, Cheesecake, Strawberry, Chocolate and Vanilla Mousse with Cream Cheese Frosting. Unicorn cheesecake does exist! I know what birthday cake I want for my birthday!

Another dessert we all shared was the Toasted Marshmallow S’mores Galore which is Hershey’s Cheesecake topped with Chocolate Ganache. Finished with Toasted Housemade Marshmallow and Honey Maid Graham Crackers. – Look at that melted marshmallow! For all the chocolate lovers, this is your dream dessert!

If you’re too stuffed for dessert, they have a bakery before exiting the restaurant. If you loved their dessert, you could purchase a slice or the whole cheesecake to enjoy later!

Thank you Cheesecake factory for opening another location in Hawaii! Our family can’t wait to go back for brunch, lunch, or dinner again!
