eurostar5am wake up call – We are on our way to Paris Gare Du Nord station. We booked the earliest flight to London which was at 7am. Since we only have 2 days to explore, we made sure to get the earliest flight to provide ample time to explore the area. From Paris to Santorini, we flew view Transavia Airlines. From Paris to London, we are now taking the train via Eurostar.

If you’re traveling from Paris to London, Eurostar is the best way to travel. Eurostar is the primary high-speed railway most Europeans use when traveling via rail. Its systems connect London to major Europan capitals. It’s connected via France through a tunnel in the English Channel.

eurostarAfter arriving a bit early, we paused in the waiting area until moving on toward security for screening. This was no TSA. It was way faster than regular airports; as soon as we went through the security, we headed to our Standard carriage. We were in car #7 and boarded right on in without hassle or confusion.

We headed to our assigned seats and was extremely excited to see how comfy the seats were accommodated with ample room for spreading out. They have seats with tables, like in the photo, or just regular seats facing forward.

With seats facing forward, there are pockets to hold magazines and important electronics. There’s also a footrest for every seat making it super comfortable! I wish airplanes had this for long-haul flights!

Once the train left the station, they opened up the bar area which had cold drinks, coffee, tea, and snacks, lots of snacks! As soon as we were able to stand up to get some food and drinks, a line formed quickly, but the service was on point and accurate. Unfortunately, there is no at-seat-service on the train.

One of the best thing about Eurostar is that they have free wifi during your trip. With 2 hours and 19 minutes, we were able to plan our London stops and book last minute activities before we arrive at London St. Pancras Station. We were also updating our Instagram story throughout the ride that offered beautiful views along the way!

When we go back to Europe and travel from London to Avignon, Brussels, Lille, Lyon, Marseille or Paris, we will be booking with Eurostar. Our train ride was incredibly smooth without any turbulence. Another great aspect is that there is no waiting on a baggage claim. Once we arrive, at any station, you can get off quickly with all your belongings. I  Highly recommend traveling via train around Europe!
