Upon arriving to Whistler, we had planned a few activities…in snow! If you didn’t know, Oahu doesn’t receive snow. In fact, “cold” to us locals is when temperature hovers around 20C/68F. Our excitement was beyond measure. First snow adventure: snowmobiling with The Adventure Group!

If you want to be comfortable, wear layers. You can always remove the heavier sets if it gets too warm. However, don’t panic if you do not or have the appropriate gear; before embarking, the team members offer extra, protective layers such as the pants that I am wearing throughout these photos. They also provide a helmet, goggles, protective boots, jackets and pants if needed.

The ride was smooth. The views were breathtaking. The routes were safe and mesmerizing. Riding through the woods through endless twists and turns gave me a sense of openess although we were on cleared paths. Every stop we had made us want to stay longer but there is just so much to explore! The picture above is Whistler/Blackcomb Mountain.

We were lucky enough to have a beautiful snowfall the night before, creating nature’s perfect cushion.

Experience matters very little when snowmobiling with The Adventure Group. Their sleds are state-of-the-art and user-friendly even when crossing some rare, but rough, patches.

After the tour, they provided hot cocoa and cozy fireplace to sip it around.

We had the privilege of collaborating with fellow blogger Molly and Irek for this Snowmobile Tour. It was great fun, besides a small incident that happened, during the tour. Let’s just say everyone was okay and no paperwork was needed!

We wish the tour lasted longer! There was still much to see and other ways to traverse that it is a must to return. It was entirely worth it and a great experience for families wanting to do something a little face-paced but safe. There are little risks involved compared to other family activities such as zip-lining, snowboarding, or bungee jumping. If you’re thinking about it….don’t, just book your tour!
