This past weekend, we had the honor of attending a special fundraising event to help support women and struggling families of Hawaii. The “Chocolate, Champagne & Couture For-A-Cause” is held annually by Aloha Women United – United Way’s mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good.
This is their 6th time holding the event and this year it was held at Four Seasons Resort O’ahu at Ko Olina. This year, it was hosted by actress Kelly Hu and Hawaii News Now Host, Billy V. At the event, they had multiple booths offering unique experiences such as Lei Po`o (flower crowns) Making with Ocean Dreamer, Champagne and Canvas floral paintings with Bethany Georges, Henna with Henna Hawaii, Mini-Makeovers by Hourglass, and much more! Along with a silent auction and an incredible live auction presented by Alaska Airlines.
Tickets: $150 individual seat / $1,500 Table of 10 / $5,000 VIP Table of 10

Mahalo to the beautiful and inspirational @kellyhu for hosting alongside @billyv808 at @auwwomenunited Chocolate, Champagne, and Couture For-a-Cause. We left the event powerful, inspired and loved. Mahalo to our sponsors and partners. #womenunitedhi #alohaunitedway #girlpower #wahine
While everyone was seated, Nordstrom held an exclusive fashion show featuring their latest spring trend. As a foodie, I loved the three-course meal made by the Chef de Cuisine of Four Seasons Resort, during the Nordstrom Fashion Show. Even Reid enjoyed the event!
The starter was a fresh salad (delicious), the second portion was a seasoned chicken with quinoa (best tasting quinoa ever), and a rich chocolate dessert that we couldn’t get enough of.
Luckily, The “Chocolate, Champagne & Couture For-A-Cause” is held annually by Aloha Women United and from what we’ve heard, it only gets bigger and better every year. It was great connecting with new faces, hanging with familiar ones, and learning more of Aloha Women United impact. We had a wonderful time and can only hope to be a part of it next year!
