Keeping electronics safe and dry is of utmost importance when we are out on the beach or adventuring internationally. We found in our travels how important of an item like a dry bag really is. In fact, since our recent trip to Costa Rica, we’ve been keen on bringing at least one in our luggage to keep things like our external hard drive and camera dry.
For starters, Amazon offers the most reasonable dry bags between $10 to $15 USD for the smallest 2Liter, or in relevant terms, enough to fit a mobile phone. Although we can’t vouch for a sea-to-summit dry bag. Amazon offers a great deal on them. However, if you have a higher budget here are a few top Dry Bags to consider:
1) YETI Panga 28 Airtight, Waterproof and Submersible Bags
The Panga Submersible Duffel is Yeti’s first non-insulated piece of gear that lives up to the standard of being built for the wild. This is the duffel bag designed for extended backcountry stays, fly fishing that takes you to the most remote rivers, and hunts that almost seem too wild to believe. The airtight closure makes this bag absolutely waterproof and keeps moisture (and whatever else you might come across) out.
2) Hurley Wet and Dry Elite Backpack
The Wet and Dry Elite backpack from Hurley features a waterproof main compartment specially divided so you can carry both wet and dry items together, allowing you to carry one bag as you go to and from the beach. The fully welded construction helps keep gear dry while tie-down straps on the bottom add more storage options for when you’re on the go.

3) Dakine Cyclone II 36L Dry Pack
In my opinion, Dakine Cyclone Dry Pack is the coolest looking backpack and my personal favorite on the list! Having experienced using two DaKine dry bags in the past, they are extremely reliable and passed the test of open water kayaking (kayak flipped over and things were still dry). The only reason I had to buy a replacement was the wife giving it away to family in the Philippines.

4) OSPREY DRY SACK
This Osprey Dry Sack is a great basic dry bag! The roll top closure is waterproof and helps compress items within the dry sack. Osprey brand is great because they will repair any damage or defect for any reason free of charge.
5) Columbia PFG Perfect Cast Waterproof Roll Top Daypack
This Columbia Daypack is constructed from water resistant 420D Nylon with welded seams. Large main compartment with roll-top closure and securing lashing strap. Contoured shoulder straps with high-density foam and breathable air mesh.
The designs of dry bags sure have evolved from a leaky giant sack with a single hole to a multi-functional, all-terrain, durable-everyday-use accessory. Take a look at some of these bags and let us know which one’s worked for you! Thanks for reading!
