On a relaxing Sunday morning, our entire family decided to have brunch at Scratch Kitchen & Meatery. It’s located in Honolulu, Hawaii. It has an open kitchen setting with a very relaxed atmosphere. Serving up comfort food with an impressive twist!
Also, what’s a Sunday brunch without booze? Have a boozy brunch as they’re serving up $5 mimosas and frosés. Also, DJ Jimmy Taco will be spinning the beats with DJ XL from 10am-2pm.
Scratch Kitchen changes their menu every season. We went for brunch in Spring 2019. I think it’s safe to say that we will be coming back each season to try the new menu because the food is THAT GOOD!

‘MILK N’ CEREAL’ PANCAKES $12
Have their classic Milk & Cereal Pancakes! This is a popular dish on their menu which comes in triple stack pancakes, banana, berries, and their homemade ‘milk’ syrup. A pleasant dish to take home for leftovers.
HAUPIA CREME BRULEE FRENCH TOAST $12
We love french toast but with a twist of Haupia Creme? Wow! I don’t think we could have a regular french toast ever again. It’s thick and fluffy with a slight crisp on the edges! It’s topped off with seasonal fruits, toasted coconut, and vanilla maple syrup. It was such a fulfilling dish it took two of us to finish it up.
CLASSIC LOCO MOCO $15
If you’re looking for a local dish, you can’t go wrong with a loco moco. The classic loco moco comes with a 6oz. kunoa cattle beef patty, hapa rice, two eggs, and roasted brown gravy.
YOGA BOWL $14
For a vegetarian dish, go with the Yoga Bowl which has soy braised root vegetables, wilted spinach, hapa rice, and miso roasted peanuts.
BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN SAMMY $15
This is one of the most delicious chicken sandwiches! Packed with smoked bacon, carolina slaw, lemon aioli, and delicious side greens. Very crispy and tasty!
JIMMY TACO’S CARNITAS & WAFFLE $14
With DJ Jimmy Taco spinning the beats, you can’t miss the Jimmy Taco’s Carnitas & Waffle! It’s mixed with cheddar, jalapeno buttermilk waffle, tomatillo salsa, and maple drizzle

We can’t recommend dining at Scratch Kitchen enough! Serving up breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a new menu every season – definitely the best restaurant around South Side Market.
