It’s finally time to check -in at the beach villas at Ko’olina! We knew about this staycation for a few months now and couldn’t be more excited to tell you all about it. This was our first time booking a vacation rental home in Hawaii and this might just be an annual thing. There are many reasons as to why we enjoyed staying at this vacation rental, the main one would have to be because it’s able to accommodate our entire family!

PLEASE BE AWARE: When it comes to booking a vacation rental in Hawaii, make sure to go through a reliable Rental Agency! We’ve heard horror stories about vacation rental homes being posted on craigslist and people actually paying the full stay. Once it’s time for check-in, the property is already occupied or it doesn’t exist. You don’t want to arrive in paradise and have nowhere to sleep.

BOOKING WITH LOVE HAWAII VILLAS

Although this was our first time booking a vacation rental home, Love Hawaii Villas made the whole process very simple. Once we booked our beach villa at Ko’olina, we received a confirmation right away. Then we received another email regarding Arrival Instructions for our upcoming stay from one of their Guest Service staff. The email was very detailed and provided things such as the check-in time, greeting, orientation, driving directions, concierge services info, house rules, and much more. All of our questions and concerns about our stay answered in one email!

OUR KO’OLINA BEACH VILLA AT B-801

Upon checking-in, we were greeted by one of Love Hawaii Villas guest services, Jared. He assisted us with checking-in at the lobby along with our parking pass. Then, Jared toured us around the Ko’olina Villas Resort and showed us our beach villa where we’ll be staying for a few days. Once we got inside our villa, he explained each room and how to work certain parts such as the AC, blinds, kitchen appliances, etc. Before leaving us, he made sure our questions were answered and that the team can be reached via text or phone call should we have any concerns during our stay.

Ko’olina Beach Villas Resort consists of two towers which are Beach Tower (left) and Ocean Tower (right). Our villa is located on the 8th floor of the Beach Tower at the Beach Villas overlooking Lagoon 2. This oceanfront villa has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, living & dining room, washer & dryer, high-speed WiFi, flat screen TVs in every room, cable TV, stainless steel appliances, baby/toddler amenities, beach towels and other beach amenities!

We had a private entrance leading to our villa. At the entrance, there’s a bin full of beach gear from snorkel mask, fins, beach toys for kids, floaties, body boards, and beach chairs!

We enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen very much – the Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances and granite countertops, it was beautiful! Their kitchen even had a full drawer of condiments! During our stay, we were able to cook every day and ate at the dining table or out on the lanai. Unfortunately, there is no room service or restaurants on-property. However, Love Hawaii Villas recommended some great places to eat around Ko’olina.

The first bedroom on the right once you walk-in is perfect for kids! It has two twin beds, flat screen TV, lanai access and is adjacent to a bathroom with a tiled shower and glass door.

Just down the hallway is the next bedroom. It can be considered a second Master Suite complete with a king-size bed and an ensuite full bath. It also has a flat-screen TV.

The 3rd bedroom is the master suite, where we stayed. Which includes a king bed (Tempur-Cloud Supreme King), wall-mounted flat screen TV, lanai access, separate A/C thermostat, his/hers sinks and a separate tub and shower. We absolutely loved that each bedroom leads out to the lanai overlooking the beautiful ocean views!

Now, let’s take a look at the rest of Ko’olina Beach Villas Resort. This luxury lifestyle resort includes daily activities for the family (check with the concierge for activities), koi pond, fully equipped fitness center, swimming pools, outdoor BBQ grills, and of course, the beach lagoons!

Before heading to the pool and the beach area, don’t forget to say hello to the koi fish! Beyond the lobby, there’s a koi pond filled with colorful koi fish. The staff allows the guest to feed the fish during their feeding time. For more information, check with the concierge at the lobby!

The fitness center blew us away with all of the types of types of equipment! Along with a dry sauna and steam rooms in the women and men’s bathroom.

There are two swimming pools: quiet/lap swimming pool and family lagoon. Next to the family lagoon is a kiddie wading filled with sand. Throughout the swimming pools, there’s also spa hot tubs and lounge chairs! It’s a perfect place to enjoy the day while the husband is BBQing on the grill!

Makai Hale Beach Bar is located at the pool area just before heading out to the beach. They serve delicious tropical cocktails, local beer, drinks for the kids, and a few bar food options.

Lastly, the beautiful beach lagoon at Ko’olina. This lagoon is man-made and is located right in front of the resort. Bring your beach chairs, beach toys, and towels and enjoy the Pacific ocean! Especially, during sunset – this spot is breathtaking!

Our experience throughout booking with Love Hawaii Villas was excellent! Their attention to detail with their welcome binder and email instructions made our staycation enjoyable and stress-free. They are definitely a great rental agency providing an exceptional service! We truly believe that if you book with them, you and your family are in great hands!
