It’s no secret that the Waikiki Spam Jam is the best food festival in Hawaii! Each year, thousands of locals and tourists gather in Waikiki (Kalakaua Avenue) to enjoy different dishes incorporating a local favorite food, spam. Last year, an estimated 35,000 people attended the event. It’s definitely a festival worth going to each year!
This year, it was the 17th annual Waikiki Spam Jam festival! With over 20 restaurants, 30 dishes, 3 stages of great entertainments, merchandise tents, and more. Fun fact from Spam Jam Hawaii: Introduced in 1937 by Hormel Foods, more SPAM® is consumed per person in Hawaii than in any other state in the United States. Almost seven million cans of SPAM® are eaten every year in Hawaii.
Tip: Bring your own water bottle. They have free water stations throughout the festival!

Where: The entire street of Kalakaua Avenue is closed off for the festival
Parking: This is what parking looked like this year:
$6 for up to 4 hours at King Kalakaua Plaza, Waikiki Parking Garage, Hyatt Centric, OHANA Waikiki East Hotel, Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk, OHANA Waikiki Malia, Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger, and Wyndham at Waikiki Beach Walk. At Honolulu Zoo parking lot, it’s $1 per hour!
