After staying at Amba Taipei Ximending hotel, we had a privilege of staying at another Amba property during our last few days in Taipei. Within a 13 minute uber ride, we arrived at Amba Taipei Songshan hotel. As soon as we got to the front of the hotel, we were mesmerized by the urban chic neighborhood. With the lux feel, we were glad to end our trip on a high note.

Once we entered on the 1st floor, we were directed to take the elevator which led to the lobby, located on the 17th floor. The lobby had a beautiful, panoramic views of Taipei 101 and Keelung River! Within the level of the lobby is the Que restaurant and bar, Que private rooms, communal space, SPIN game/meeting room, and guest rooms.

After we checked-in, we headed to our room which was the Corner Extra Large 101 View Room. This room offers a stunning view of Taipei 101! We love that the rooms are very bright with minimal design. We also noticed how tech-friendly this hotel is! With universal power outlets all over the room and free super-high-speed WiFi. With the incredible view and fast wifi, we could relax or get work done in our room all day!

Also, in our room, we had a flat screen TV, complete with built-in YouTube, Instagram, Netflix, music, and other entertainment connections. With satellite channels including CNN, HBO, Discovery, TLC, Disney, NHK, BS1, Phoenix, and Arirang. Along with a wireless Bluetooth speaker! If you forgot something at home or need extra entertainment, Amba Taipei Songshan has a whole list to choose from.

We had a separate washroom and shower room, dual ecostat comfort rain shower and massage showerheads for a revitalizing yet eco-friendly shower experience, oversized bathroom vanity, all-natural, calming ginger bath amenities, exclusively provided by socially responsible Taiwanese brand Two Acres, free bath gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, body lotion, tooth brush, tooth paste, shower cap, and cotton buds. Also, there are free items available upon request such as shaver, hair brush, and sewing kit upon request, iron and ironing board. If we ever forgot something at home, Amba hotel got us covered!

In our room, we had freshly brewed coffee from the Nespresso machine, Taiwanese tea, quick heating electric kettle, free mineral water, and an ultra-soundless mini fridge; this came very handy for our left overs that we brought back from the night markets!

EXPLORE AMBA HOTEL SONGSHAN

Amba Hotel Songshan is located at the intersection of Xinyi, Songshan, and Nangang districts in eastern Taipei, next to Songshan Station for metro and trains, five minutes drive from Taipei 101, and five minutes walk to Raohe Night Market. Being in the city, it’s very close to shopping places, restaurants, and it’s easy to get around.

This is provided by the receptionist once checked-in at the hotel. It included things to do and places to eat around the neighborhood. We found this piece of pamphlet very handy during our stay!

In the lobby, there’s a ping pong table and a foosball! The lobby also offers a beautiful view of Taipei 101.

At each level of the hotel, there are signs like these on the wall, making it easy to explore and see what is on that specific floor. On the 18th floor, the hotel has a fitness center and laundry room. The fitness has free water bottles! The laundry room is free to use along with fabric softener and laundry detergent.

Located on the same floor as the lobby, 17th floor is Que woodfired grill. It offers breakfast buffet, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea and happy hour with a beautiful view of the Keelung River. The restaurant also has a private room for exclusive gatherings or meetings. This special room features panoramic river views, a loft kitchen, and seats up to 50 guests!
