“Feel the warmth of nature and hospitality with us”… We definitely felt that way during our whole stay at The Udaya Resorts & Spa!
Where is the Udaya resort? The Udaya is a ten-minute, complimentary shuttle ride, to and from Ubud Central. During our time in Bali, it was the closest we stayed to the attractive (and reasonable) Ubud Marketplace and the reverend Monkey Forest.
ARRIVING AT THE UDAYA RESORTS & SPA
As their motto stands, it was incredibly amazing how much we felt at home as soon as when we stepped foot on the property! The overwhelming amount of hospitality we received at the welcome was indescribable. We were given a refreshing green juice and cold towels at arrival. Along with detailed information about our stay and itinerary – spa, dining, and room reservations.
Tip: During the summer months, The Udaya Resorts & Spa gets booked out, make sure to book way in advance to stay there! Originally, we planned to stay at the One Bedroom Pool Villa for two night but since it was booked out the first day we stayed at the Suite.
THE UDAYA RESORTS & SPA SUITE
Walking into a fairytale room – rattan dream and flowy drapes! With contemporary and traditional Balinese style throughout the suite. The Suites are located in the main structure, either on the 2nd or 3rd floors. Every suite comes with a private terrace. The suite we stayed in was on the 2nd floor, overlooks the garden, and pool area.
The suite is 52 sqm and had a king-size bed (they also have twin beds), gorgeous bathroom, shower, and marble sunken bathtub. For amenities, it comes with daily complimentary water, large wood luxury closets with built-in drawers and storage, daily fruit basket, tea & coffee maker, LED TV, mini bar, hairdryer, complimentary Wi-Fi, safe deposit box, bathrobes and slippers, air condition, and IDD telephone.
The Udaya Resorts & Spa Suite starts at 3,000,000+ IDR ($213+ USD) per night, book your stay here!
THE UDAYA RESORTS & SPA ONE BEDROOM POOL VILLA
Private pool goals! The entrance to the pool villas is as magical as it looks! The pool villas are located on the hillside of the resort overlooking the tropical garden of Ubud. Although there are other villas next door, The Udaya built it where each villa has privacy – the elaborateness of this property is incredible!
The pool villa is 150 sqm which had a private terrace & pool, king-size bed, Balinese living space, deluxe bathroom, semi-open showers, and terrazo bathtub. We love the rocks and rattan throughout the villa! The amenities were similar to the suite which was – daily complimentary water, daily fruit basket, large wood luxury closets with built-in drawers and storage, daily fruit basket, tea & coffee maker, LED TV, mini bar, hairdryer, complimentary Wi-Fi, safe deposit box, bathrobes and slippers, air condition, and IDD telephone.
The Udaya Resorts & Spa Suite starts at 5,000,000 IDR ($357+ USD) per night, book your stay here!
A restaurant on property located on the second floor. This is where we had breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner. Deeva Restaurant uses organic ingredients and Indonesian spices which makes their food remarkably ambrosial! Also, they have vegetarian options! If you decide to have a floating breakfast at your pool villa, the food is made at Deeva.
POOL, GYM & YOGA DECK
The Udaya Resorts & Spa offers a variety of activities to experience from their property such as yoga, cycling, trekking, cooking class, and private events. Along with an infinity pool and a workout area! However, if you have a pool villa or suite, you’ll get to enjoy your pool privately.
The Udaya Resorts & Spa has one of the most known spas in Ubud, Bali – Kaveri Spa. From scrubs, masks, massages, to traditional Balinese treatments, they offer it! (bold) During our stay, we were able to experience a quick 15-minute massage and the Celebration of Flowers which you can read more about here!

Just the hospitality of the staff alone makes us want to come back already! It’s definitely a great place to stay in Ubud with hidden gems throughout its property. While we were there, we were told The Udaya is continuing to expand providing an even more tranquil vibe, if that’s possible, with a new Resort opening soon!
Reminder: Book early and soon as The Udaya is often sold out quickly!
