When traveling, do you search for the best places to eat in the local area? If you’re heading to Oahu, then you need to head to Chinatown, a hidden gem for ‘foodies’ in Honolulu. Most tourists find themselves trapped in Waikiki eating along the strip. Chinatown has been our favorite spot for eateries as new places continue popping up! The first half of the list, we’ve eaten at and loved it. We plan on trying out the second half of the list shortly but for now, we are here to share the best ten places to eat in Chinatown!

1. LIVESTOCK TAVERN

Livestock Tavern was the very first Chinatown restaurant we’ve tried out last year. They release a new menu every season and right now, they’re offering the Autumn menu for lunch and supper. They have a great cocktail bar and serve American food – pasta, chicken, seafood, burger, prime rib, and many more! Each dish we ordered was phenomenal and the flavor was incredible!

Check out Livestock Tavern on Yelp.
49 N Hotel St Honolulu, HI 96817
Hours: Monday-Saturday 11am-2pm, 5pm-10pm

2. THE PIG & THE LADY

The Pig & The Lady is a Vietnamese restaurant and is very popular for its PHO! When we ate here, of course, we all ordered Pho. The broth was tasty and oh so good! I want to go back just for their soup! If you’re looking for some good Vietnamese food, check this place out!

4. LUCKY BELLY

Looking for amazing ramen place? This is it! The broth is crazy good and tasty! My favorite from this place is their Pork Belly Bao. Which are steamed buns with pork belly and hoisin sauce. It’s so yummy! We need to come back soon and try more of their food!

We stumbled upon this place because we were searching for vegan food! Most of the items on their menu can be substituted for vegan or vegetarian alternatives! Even down to their desserts! It was our first time tasting vegan bbq chicken wings and it hit the spot. One of our favorite places to eat in Chinatown as well as one of the best vegan restaurants on Oahu.
