During our relaxing stay at the Hilton Waikiki Beach hotel, we dined at M.A.C. 24/7! We always hear about this restaurant on the radio but have never tried it out until then. I’m glad we were able to finally dine-in, we loved it so much that we went here a few times during our staycation.
M.A.C. 24/7 is open 24 hours, 7 days of the week (hence the name). It’s located in Hilton Waikiki Beach, on the lobby level. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts all day, every day. Who doesn’t love breakfast food for dinner right? M.A.C. 24/7 has been awarded a few times for being the “Best Gourmet Comfort Food” 2018 Hale ‘Aina Awards, “Best Late Night Finds” 2018 OpenTable Diner’s Choice”, “Best Restaurants for Brunch” 2018 OpenTable Diner’s Choice.” – If you keep reading, you’ll know why they’re the best gourmet comfort food!
The first thing you’ll come across when walking in is the first seating area (top photo) which is a diner like setting with booths. Right across the booth is the bar area with stools. Just right behind the bar, is an open space to a dining room. Lots of seating and perfect for big groups!
DRINKS
M.A.C. 24/7 beverage menu offers some of the best drinks we’ve had in Waikiki! During our dinner, we ordered some from Hawaii’s Favorites and M.A.C. Signature Cocktails selection. For the portion and flavor of the drinks, the prices are very reasonable!
As for the main drink of the night, we had the M.A.C.-cano Eruption which is typically a drink for two. This drink is so hot (popular) that it’s served on fire! (If you follow us on Instagram @wanderlustyle, you might have seen our insta-stories during dinner). This blend is mixed with fresh guava puree, white rum, 151 & balanced with a large dash of bitters, orange curacao & the complexity of orgeat. Along with fresh lime and a rim of dark rum. If you order this, ask for Li Hing Mui on the side to mix in the drink, you’ll love it! (Thanks to Remy for the tip!)

APPETIZERS
For dinner, there were a total of 4, just in case you’re surprised with how much we ordered. Everything on the menu sounded amazing! To start, we had the Crispy Shrimp & Calamari, Fried Maine Lobster Mac & Cheese Bites, and Ahi Poke Stack. The food came out so quick! If M.A.C. 24/7 isn’t known for their quick service, they should be!
MAIN ENTRÉES
In the middle of eating our appetizers, we decided to order our main dishes since we thought it would take awhile to come out. Which will give us time to finish the appetizers before the mains get to the table. Little did we know with their exceptionally fast service, our main entrées came before we even got to the finish the starters. We were all blown away by how fast they prepare it! Also, we ate with our eyes because as soon as the main dishes were put on the table, we all stared at each other, thinking “how are we going to finish this?!”. The portions were excellent and will definitely make you full even without any appetizers. But who would want to skip out on delicious starters! (Not us!)

From left to right: Grilled Ribeye Steak: 12 oz. Angus beef grilled to your desired doneness, garlic mashed potatoes, sautéed island vegetables, and onion crisps. Kalbi Steak: marinated boneless short ribs and white rice. This was originally the Kalbi Steak Salad but we substituted with white rice for Landon.
DESSERTS
While we didn’t get to finish our main dishes, we had it put in a to go back. All because we were all saving room for desserts!
- Fried Banana Fosters Cheesecake: vanilla ice cream, caramel rum sauce
-
Pina Colada Creme Brulee: tapioca haupia, caramelized pineapple, vanilla custard, topped with white chocolate mousse whipped cream
-
Ooey Gooey Mac Nut Brownies: molten caramel center, a la mode
-
Hawaiian Sweet Bread French Toast: maple syrup, cinnamon sugar, strawberries, and whipped cream
I think the desserts are speaking for themselves. When you eat at M.A.C. 24/7, you can’t skip out on their desserts. The flavor is unique and so delicious!

Also, at M.A.C. 24/7, they are known for their challenge called M.A.C Daddy Pancake Challenge and it’s seen on Travel Channel’s Man V. Food show (read more about it here). It’s basically three 14″ pancakes, we actually saw someone do the challenge during our dinner and the pancakes we’re insane! If you devour everything in less than 90 minutes, you’ll have your photo taken and secure a spot in front of the restaurant! Would you dare to take on the challenge?!
