We’ve been wanting to write about our staycation at Trump Hotel in Waikiki for a while now but only now getting around to it. We’ve done The Spa at Trump and ate lunch at Wai’olu Ocean View Lounge a few times before but never stayed overnight at the Trump Hotel, until now. We stayed for two days and had a nice, relaxing staycation with the family.

There’s only one Trump Hotel in Hawaii, and it’s located on the island of Oahu. It’s at the beginning of Waikiki and offers a beautiful ocean, city, and mountain view (depending on room location). The Trump Hotel is one of the most luxurious hotels we’ve stayed at in Waikiki, after all, it is a 5-star hotel for a reason!.

AMENITIES

Trump Hotel offers a few amenities on their premises. They have a nice size infinity pool, located on the 6th floor, with an expansive sun deck for tanning, relaxing, warming up via the sunny rays. This spot seemed more for adults since it was hushed and laid back. Although there are no signs that say no kids allowed – we did see families at the pool. If you want to head to the beach, they also have luxury beach services and amenities, including complimentary use of beach bag with towels, fruit, and water.

There’s a vast lounging area around the pool and extends to the Wai’olu Ocean View Lounge – perfect for a quick lunch after the pool. For more food options, there is also In-Yo Cafe, which is open for daily breakfast and a Signature restaurant, BLT Steak for dinner. Of course, a 24 hour in room service and an in-room personal chef available upon request.

Trump Hotel offers body wellness as a part of their amenities. Their spa is top notch!

ROOM

Trump Hotel Waikiki has guest rooms, one-bedroom suites, two-bedroom suites, three-bedroom suites, trump executive suites, and penthouse suites. We stayed at the Premium Two Bedroom Plus Den Prime Ocean View Suite which is worth $965.00 per night. The two bedroom suite has a fully-equipped kitchen. With a king size bed in the Master bedroom, a queen size bed in the second bedroom, as well as a memory foam sofa sleeper in both the living room and den. Our suite sleeps a total of 8 people; it was perfect for the whole family!

Check out all the marble in the shower and bathtub! This is in the master bedroom.

We loved the spacious balcony overlooking the ocean and city view.

As much as we loved our staycation at the Trump Hotel Waikiki, for the price per night, there are other hotels in Waikiki that cost less and have the same or equal amount of amenities with close beach access. By staying at the Trump Hotel, you’re most likely paying for the name – It’s a well-known 5-star hotel. If you’re looking for a family staycation with kids, we wouldn’t suggest it here. But if you’re a couple or family that is merely staying for relaxation, this is a perfect hotel!
