SALT At Our Kaka’ako has been our favorite meeting place or having a pick-up coffee with friends. The area has restaurants, shopping, and has been hosting innovative events like yoga! Recently, we went out to lunch at one of the new restaurants called Fish Honolulu.
Fish Honolulu is an open-air restaurant located on the 2nd floor. The space is very cozy and hosts a plethora of tables next to a bar. With an open area, lots of natural lighting comes in making the place feel spacious and lively. When morning drizzles came in, they were able to close off the innovative roof making it comfortable for guests! It’s definitely, a nice place to have lunch or dinner with friends and family. They are open to walk-in seating but making your reservations at Open Table almost guarantees seating right away!
Hours: Fish Honolulu is open daily from 11am to 9pm
Parking: SALT Parking Structure on Keawe Street. It’s FREE parking for the first hour, no validation required. With validation from SALT at Our Kaka’ako shops or restaurants – 1st hour: FREE, 2nd hour: $1, 3rd hour: $3, 4th hour: $3 per half hour (standard posted rates). Parking without validation is $6 per hour.
CRAFTED COCKTAILS AND WINE
Fish Honolulu offers an array of hand-crafted cocktails and wine (sparkling, white, red, and rose). Our first drink was Saracco Moscato D’Asti 2017, we had about two (maybe three) glasses, can you tell we love our moscato? Then we tried the cocktails made by the friendly bartenders! Since it was a media event, we were able to taste all of the cocktails.
FOOD
While we did not get to try everything on the menu, we were able to try a few dishes from Potato & Ikura Croquette, Crispy Oysters, Day Boat Fish & Rice, Crab Cakes, Fish Tacos Baja Style, White Miso Salmon, Lobster Roll, and Kona Lobster. For dessert, we had their Guava Cheesecake. It’s incredible that we liked all of the dishes that we tried. Which means we’ll be back for lunch and dinner for sure!
