Anchorage is a small city, normally we would do 50 best places to eat but that probably will list the all of the restaurants around the area. We wanted to focus on the best 10 places to eat and after meeting a few locals, here’s what we came up with along with their suggestions!
10 BEST PLACES TO EAT IN ANCHORAGE, ALASKA
1. Moose’s Tooth
Pizza, American (Traditional), Beer Bar, Yelp Reviews – This was confirmed by many people that this place was the one of the best in Anchorage! It’s a pub and pizzeria and its perfect for the family. Try the mushroom soup, its the best!

2. Glacier BrewHouse
American (Traditional), Breweries, Seafood, Yelp Reviews – This place has a lot of choices on the menu from seafood, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, wood grill & rotisserie, and desserts. They also have in-house brew beer and heard its delicious!
3. Snow City Cafe
Breakfast & Brunch, American (New), Cafes, Yelp Reviews – We were looking through yelp and Mary wanted to try seafood benedict. They have smoked salmon cakes and red king crab cakes with their homemade hollandaise sauce, she loved it! Their cream cheese cinnamon roll and stuffed french toast are amazing!
4. Spenard Roundhouse
American (New), Cocktail Bars, Yelp Reviews – If you’re looking for insta-worthy meals, check this place out! They also have vegan and vegetarian food on the menu. Everything on their menu looks amazing!
5. 49th State Brewing
Breweries, Gastropubs, Steakhouses, Yelp Reviews – This was recommended to us but didn’t get around to trying it out but we will next time! We heard the food is very flavorful and they also have in-house brew beer! If you like trying out different flavor beers, this place is for you! Just look at that beer: Pumpkin Golden Wheat!
6. House of Bread
Coffee & Tea, Bakeries, Sandwiches, Yelp Reviews – We were craving for some good cinnamon rolls and this place had the best rating. Check out that wheat cinnamon roll, it was so fresh and yummy! They also have other flavors of cinnamon roll and sandwiches on the menu. Definitely coming back to this cafe/bakery place!
7. Tofu House
Korean, Asian Fusion, Yelp Reviews – We decided to try this place out and loved their Kalbi! It was very tasty!
8. Simon & Seafort’s Saloon & Grill
Seafood, Steakhouses, American (Traditional), Yelp Reviews – For a little fancier venue for seafood, check out this place. It has a lot of reviews on Yelp and highly rated.
9. Fromagio’s Artisan Cheese
Cheese Shops, Sandwiches, Yelp Reviews – They have one of the best charcuterie platters in Anchorage! If you’re a cheese lover, head over to this place!
10. Pangea
Mediterranean, Modern European, Tapas/Small Plates, Yelp Reviews – Great place for some desserts! They also have tapas and small plates but the choices of desserts are amazing.
