Summer months are fast approaching and for Hawaii, the heat makes us feel like it’s already here! Summer calls for being adventurous. Activities under the sun such as snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, surfing, sunbathing, and more are all viable options. Living in Hawaii, spending time at the beach is something we will be doing a lot. While we already go to the beach weekly throughout the year, it doesn’t get quite as hot as the high summer sun.
When it comes to being at the beach all day, we bring all our standard beach gear with us, including our chairs and tent. However, even if we have a tent, it can get uncomfortably hot. Although a tent provides some shade, Hawaii’s humidity makes staying inside it hot and sweaty. When taking a dip in the ocean, we usually bring our sunglasses.
